Promotional Aircraft Livery

Promotional Aircraft Livery is one sure fire way to get your brand or airline noticed.

Recently in April Larchfield Aerospace & Graphics deployed a team of professional installers to Etihad Engineering in Abu Dhabi.

The task was to produce and install a promotional 2018 year of Zayed livery onto two aircraft, the chosen aeroplanes were Boeing 777 Cargo and the A380.

This promotional livery is part of a number of remembrance projects in honour of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan which celebrates his themes of wisdom, respect, sustainability and human development.

The design was undertaken by Etihad and given to Larchfiled to produce and print using 3M high performance approved aircraft vinyl. All of the printed design was completed in-house at our head office in the UK before being shipped out to Abu Dhabi for installation.

When we first found out about the design we were really excited because these types of liveries were technically challenging due to size and imagery but it pushed the boundaries opening the door to lots of new possibilities when it comes to using vinyl materials on a large scale.

Our professional installers took just 6 days in total to complete the livery install on the 777 and A380 keeping within the tight AOG deadline. Had Etihad chose to paint the aircraft it would have taken considerably longer.

The fact that Etihad chose 3M vinyl also means that the livery can be easily removed at the end of 2018 without any damage to the aircraft or repainting needed, once again saving more time and money.

Promotional aircraft livery using 3M vinyl is ideal for short-term projects or indeed wet lease situations where aircraft are supplied white-tailed or with another airlines livery design, our print facilities enable us to create a cover-up design using the aircraft’s original colour scheme background.
